Hey, I figured out this problem by myself after getting no response from here a week ago.
Here are the steps;
1. Choose which posts you want to be featured on the ‘featured posts’ slide, by clicking on the little stars found on the ‘edit post’ page and making them turn from Grey to yellow.
2. Now go into edit each post you want to be featured and add a thumbnail for that post.
3. Scroll half way down your post page and on the right hand side of the page, you will see a heading called “POST THUMBNAIL”.
4. Add a thumbnail of your choosing and then update your page.
5. If no thumbnail is set on your page, then the mystique template will just add the first image found.

Yeah i already this way. But.. I don’t want any thumbnails. Is there any way to not show the thumbnail? And does the same problem exist in v1.9 or v2.0 ??

That worked perfectly, thanks for the detailed steps.
It adds a few steps, in the previous version you just needed to choose a category.

There is a pic of the rss feed at the right top of the template. But it’s not activate (when my mouse is on it, there is no reaction). How can we activate it please ?
I didn’t find in the backoffice of Wordpress anywhere to put my rss’s adress.

Maybe you have a conflict between the header and the feed RSS gif?
Cut for a moment your text in the admin header and test if RSS works.
Other, delete files and cache, and reload zip 2.1.1. ( and not with IE
)

One problem though. I have a static front page and the blog on another page. Now the blog menu item is always active (dark) even if i’m on another page.

I had the same problem. Open core.php via Design>Editor. Search for the line:
elseif (($page->ID == $current_page) || ($page->ID == get_option('page_for_posts'))) $active_class = 'active';and replace it with:
elseif ($page->ID == $current_page) $active_class = 'active';That worked for me.

My bad, I didn’t explain myself correctly. When I said “title attributes” I meant the little yellow panels that appear when you mouseover a link. I want to personalize these little panels, especially when I mouseover the navbar (they just show me the name of the page). Is it possible with Mystique? Because I don’t know what to do – even All in one Seo pack didn’t work.

Well, some time ago I tried to get ride of those titles attributes and I tried to use the “remove titles attributes (RTA)” plugin, but it didn’t work. So I wrote to the author and after a control he told me this:
«The reason that RTA isn’t working for you is that your theme doesn’t use WP’s native wp_list_pages() function to generate its Page list. Instead, it uses its own proprietary function, mystique_navigation(). That means that your theme isn’t compatible with plugins that interact with wp_list_pages(), including RTA.
It may be possible to modify the mystique_navigation() function so that it doesn’t generate title attributes, or to replace it with wp_list_pages() while still keeping your menu style, but that would take a little more time than I have right now.
Is the theme actively supported? If so, this might be something to query with its author.»

because I deleted the folder mystique, I cleared the cache on my firefox and sent the mystique 2.1.1 for my site, I activated and continued with the same problem.

i’m using the wp thema since last october in version 1.05 and have now two questions:
1. how can deactivate or chance the fancybox-settings in js? i need the possibility to click directly to the next picture in the article. if i can deactive these function i can use another plugin to show my pictures.
2. is it possible to upgrade the theme to 2.1.1 without loosing all my changes i made?

Problems with miniature sizes? It’s possible changes in mystique options…sure after download theme.
Mystique uses standard colour in background content, no black , no other.
no no i have switched to another theme because Mystique doesnt let me handle the settings when i click on “Mystique Settings”

How do you hide tat pesky Twitter button that poops up beside the RSS one?
Hide twitter, mystique options and copy this in the white add CSS page:

and this for hide RSS:
