Arclite
Another clean/light style theme. Some of its features include the ability to switch between the normal image-based design to a entirely CSS based one (without images), a few background/color variations, fluid layout, optional 3rd column and many more…

This is a great theme, and as my last theme was no longer under development I’m happy to switch to one that has all the great newer features like threaded comments. I can see by this really long set of comments that I’m not the only one who is enjoying Arclite, and it would be even better if I could find a way to give the widgets a transparent background. I imagine it must be possible, but I haven’t found the magic CSS to change. I’d like to make the widgets look a little more like the posts and to make the whole sidebar more seamless.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I’d be very interested in this transparent background fix too. Wouldn’t that also give the appearance of more white space around the blog posts? (which would be a positive design change to an otherwise very, very good looking theme)
I love the versatility of this theme plus I do not need to be a code geek
Hello,
I’m trying to optimize my wordpress loading time.
I saw that arclite try to load the image loader.gif and LoaderAnimation.gif.
Could you tell me why, and if there is a possibility to stop this request (it makes about 4 or 5 seconds to load them, especially Loader.gif….).
Thx a lot,
Eric
Just to carry on the discussion – I would also like to know how to have a transparent widget background! Also – would it be possible to get a change font size/page width js icon in Arclite as their is in Fusion?
Have to say, love the theme still!

Is there anyway to have a smart scroll bar function to the drop down menu? On my review section is too big to have all displayed at once. Is there a way to limit the amount displayed and have it so you can scroll the list, or am I just going to have to make more sub pages and split up the over 50 reviews I have since I cant have them display in the drop down labeled reviews? Most of the other people that are using this that I have checked dont seem to have this problem because they dont have many drop down pages…and ideas please I have been searching anywhere for options of suggestions. Thanks.
I like this theme a lot I just need the dropdown submenu to no turn white when you hover over it. I’m sure this is an easy fix I am just new and would really appreciate the help.
thanks
I’ve the same problem with the version 2.3 (the new one)…
I ve got a problem. Pls tell me how to connect your wordpress theme from the Forum Bukmacherskie?
Merci pour le thème de blog Wordpress.
Hi,
I have ported your Arclite theme to the Habari blogging system.
You can see the results in http://www.binarytreasure.com/arclite-theme-for-habari.
Most of the features supported by Habari have been adapted.
Thanks for your theme.

I use Firefox and my site looks fine, but I regularly check it in IE7, Google Chrome and Safari and now I see that all the Blog Posts have a dark brown background and so cannot be read but only in IE7 all other browsers are fine. All the other pages on the site are fine so the problem is just with the Blog Posts and IE7.
I have tried removing blog posts one by one to test for a fault but without success.
Your help would be greatly appreciated
Hi there
it’s a wonderful template, good job.
I’ve downloaded it but it seems that Xhtml package misses two images: block-nav.png and loader.gif referenced in style.css.
Can you check please?
Thanks again, Michele
Hi there. I am enjoying working with Arclite. This is my first time applying a Wordpress theme and I have found it easy going so far. Thank you! As I work with WP and attempt to create a contact form and scheduler, I would like to have a page that wasn’t visible to everyone, just to me. I noticed this field in the “Arclite settings” section:
Exclude from main navigation(Type page or category IDs. Separate with commas)
I have tried adding a page name but the page still appears in the main navigation. Should I be looking for a page id?? Am I misunderstanding the purpose of this setting?
Any advice anyone has to offer on this subject will be most appreciated!
Page ID is the number attached to each page. If you go to ‘pages’ and hover over the page you want to find the ID of, look at the bottom of the page and it should tell you “post=152″ or similar. Then use this in the exclude from main nav field in arclite settings.
I’ll give that a try. Thanks for your help!
I upgraded from Arclite 1.5.4 to 2.0.2 and have noticed that I can’t reply to a specific comment anymore. In 1.5.4, there was a dropdown option for ‘reply’, but now that is gone.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for this theme, I am using it for my church’s website (linked in my name) but I have come across a problem. It seems like a bug with the theme or else with Wordpress itself, I don’t know. It took me forever to isolate the problem. It is in the sidebar. If you go to the church website you will see there is ugly padding in the boxes. I discovered that it is because the “titlewrap” div is being embedded inside the “br the-content” div even though the template file clearly tells it to be placed outside the of “br the-content” div just inside the “box” div. How is this possibly happening?!
Moss, try activating the “Use jQuery” checkbox in Arclite Settings section. This works in Arclite 2.0.
